Why Attend

• Join fellow CRNAs and SRNAs at nurse anesthesiology’s largest advocacy event live in Washington, D.C., or virtually from home
• Learn about the latest healthcare policies impacting our profession / important CRNA issues
• Get CRNA issues in front of freshman legislators and new party leaders motivated to make their mark in the first Mid-Year Assembly after the 2022 midterm elections.
• Gain advocacy skills to promote CRNAs at national and state levels, and in professional practice
• Be prepared and well-versed in current legislative topics — then apply your learnings at home and on Capitol Hill  

Applying for the scholarship is very simple - submit a brief essay by February 25 (at least 3 paragraphs) which explains why you wish to attend and what you would like to learn from the meeting. Five students will be awarded up to $1,400 to go toward meeting expenses. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.

This scholarship was established in honor of the late Gary Jenkins, CRNA, to provide an opportunity for students to learn more about advocating for the profession on Capitol Hill and advancing CRNA practice.
