Join your colleagues for a weekend of education, networking and collaboration at the 2020 KyANA Spring Meeting hosted at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Cincinnati RiverCenter on March 6-8, 2020

This conference will deliver a great educational experience while incorporating fun networking opportunities with CRNAs, students and professionals within the industry.

Interactive Workshops

Workshops for the Spring Meeting will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 located on the Northern KY University Campus from 5 - 9 pm. Space is limited and there will be pre-course work so onsite registration will not be available. Workshops are concurrent.  

ACLS Recertification Workshop

The learner will be able to:
Demonstrate the delivery and supervision of quality CPR

Demonstrate the appropriate use of an AED
Verbalize pharmacologic treatment modalities for bradycardia, tachycardia, and pulseless arrest
Discuss early recognition and management of Acute Coronary Syndrome
Discuss how the use of a rapid response team or medical emergency team may improve patient outcomes.

Advanced Airway Management Workshop

An interactive and engaging advanced airway management course, combining didactic presentations with small group practical and hands on activities, using state of the art human airway and virtual reality simulation trainers. A variety of focused psychomotor skills stations integrating; fiberoptic intubation, intubating LMA’s, airway ultrasound, and surgical airway access, will employ deliberate practice methods to improve technical skill performance. This course offers positive learning experiences to provide participants with essential evidence-based knowledge and decision making in the management of anticipated and unanticipated difficult airway situations in operating room and diverse clinical settings. 

The learner will be able to:

Describe and identify laryngeal anatomy and structures relative to regional anesthesia and invasive airway access.
• Describe the pharmacologic considerations for topical anesthesia and sedation in awake endotracheal intubation.
• Identify the key components in predicting, recognizing, and managing patients with a potentially difficult airway in accordance with the difficulty airway algorithm and evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrate performance of proper surgical invasive airway management techniques.
• Perform advanced instrumentation and techniques for difficult airway management using ultrasound, video laryngoscopy, fiber-optic, and intubating SGA devices.

Cancellation Policy

KyANA staff must be notified of cancellations in writing. The cancellation fee schedule is listed below.

  • 31 days or more prior to event - 20% of registration fee; remainder will be refunded.
  • 16-30 days prior to event – 50% of registration fee; remainder will be refunded.
  • 0-15 days prior to event – No refund because the expense of your anticipated participation has already been incurred.

The policy outlined above also applies to those who opted to “pay later”. The registration fees will be required. All cancellation notices should be emailed to [email protected].

Yes, on-site registration will be open during the entire meeting.                                                                                   

Question: What should I wear?

Dress for the meeting is business casual.  The meeting rooms can get chilly so you may want to bring a sweater or jacket.

Question: How many continuing education credits are being offered?

Further details and number of hours offered will be posted soon.

Question: How do I receive continuing education credit for the meeting?

To receive credit for the meeting, each attendee will need to sign in each day as well as complete the evaluation form that will be emailed to you after the meeting ends.  You continuing education will be processed within 2-3 weeks and will be provided to AANA.

Student Poster Showcase 

If you are interested in participating in the Student Poster Showcase please submit your topic and goals when registering for the meeting.  Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.

Poster Guidelines:

  • Poster should stand on its own and be placed on a corrugated tri-fold board.  The poster should open to 36" x 48"; side panels 12"; center, 24".  No cloth posters will be accepted.  
  • Bring your poster to the registration desk upon check in at the meeting and a staff member will show you were to display your poster.
  • Posters will be on display throughout the entire meeting. Please plan to sit/stand by your poster during breaks and before/after lunch.
