KYANA SCHOLARSHIPS

KyANA sponsors three different AANA meetings each year to encourage student involvement in political issues that impact nurse anesthetists on both state and national levels.

  • AANA Mid-Year Assembly (April)
  • AANA Annual Congress (August)
  • AANA Fall Leadership Summit (November)

Nurse anesthesia students who would like to apply for a scholarship to one of the meetings listed above will need to submit an online application. Sponsored students will attend the meeting as representatives of the state association. Each sponsored student may also submit a 500-word article and photo describing their experience at the meeting to be included in the KyANA Gasline Newsletter.  Meeting expenses up to the maximum limit may be submitted no later than 30 days post-meeting for reimbursement.

SANDRA TUNAJEK SCHOLARSHIP

KyANA sponsors an annual scholarship through the AANA Foundation for students who are residents of Kentucky. The program provides assistance to students involved in a nurse anesthesia program and CRNAs enrolled in doctoral study. The AANA Foundation manages the Sandra Tunajek Scholarship and selects the winner.  For more information visit AANA Foundation.
Application criteria: The student must be a resident of Kentucky.
