Micro-volunteerism

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I’d like to do more for my profession”, but you just don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to it? Well, the KyANA has just the thing for you!

Micro-volunteerism.

What is it and what does it consist of?

In short, it describes a volunteer that completes small tasks that make up a larger project, or larger need. These tasks take only minutes (15-20min/month), and the volunteer does not make a long-term or on-going commitment. A few examples of tasks the association may ask you to do maybe to write a letter to your state representative (pre-written/content provided), doing an online survey, or simply bring a “CRNA friend” to a state meeting!

The KyANA hopes that by launching this program we can allow more members to easily engage on a smaller commitment scale. Also, by having a larger number of individuals involved we can have a can accomplish things on a larger scale, to a greater impact.
